Hawaii 06 15 02:Mauna Kea Summit |
|||
|
Mauna Kea Summit Hawaii big island Mauna Kea is the capital of world's astronomical research. It has the world's biggest and most expensive ground based telescopes because of the extremely calm and dry atmosphere. It is where Michael works for his PhD thesis. :) The high altitude makes it difficult to work there. But ultra-modern telescopes on volcanic and lunar landscape offer spectacular views found nowhere else on this planet. |
