Hawaii 06 15 02:Hot Lava |
|||
|
Hot Lava and Rainbow Hot Lava glowing at 1200+ degrees is just in front of us at arm's length. It is so surreal. The molten rock erupts from the east rift of the Kilauea volcano, the most active volcano on earth. This eruption started on Mother's day, so the name: mother's day flow. Lava constantly flows on the old lava field, forming spectacular lava cascades, flows, and tubes. It runs wherever it wants, burning and burying everything it encounters. In front of the lava flow, we can only stand in awe and remind ourselves that the basic force driven our planet is far beyond human control. Check out our QuickTime Video clip of Lava flowing. |
