Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park
|
Monument Valley is a Navajo Tribal Park between Moab (Arches National Park) and Page (Lake Powell). We passed through there in the afternoon. The park's main attraction is a 17-mile unpaved scenic drive. The road is bumpy and dusty but well worth the trip! The monolithic sandstone monuments are just magnificant in the late afternoon sun.
The park also has guided Jeep rides and a well-developed visitor center. We had a plesant early dinner (cheesecake!) in the visitor center's picture-perfect restaurant.
