Photos do not do justice to show the scale of grand canyon. It is truely breath taking. You have to be there to believe it. We went to the North Rim of Grand Canyon, which is less crowded and has higher altitude than the south rim. The drive leading up to the park is extremely beautiful with aspen forrest and large meadows.

The Gran Canyon Lodge has a magnificant "family room" with 4-story high windows looking out to the canyon cliff. The best view I have seen. :) We went to Cape Royal point to photograph the canyon overview and came back to Bright Angel point near the lodge to photgraph the canyon right at sunset.
